Is a coastal city in western Los Englishmen County, California, United States of America. Adjoins the city of Santa Monica Bay (in the Pacific Ocean) to the west, the Pacific Palisades and Brentwood to the north, and West Los Angeles and Mar Vista to the east, south and Venice. According to the census of 2000, the city by 84084 people, but statistics estimated for 2006 estimated population of about 103255. named Santa Monica this name in honor of the saint Monica Hippo Regius, because the area of the city has had the Spaniards first time on the day of anniversary. Because of weather-Hassan, the city of Santa Monica has become a famous resort since the beginning of the twentieth century. City faced prosperous since the late eighties with the increasing tourism.
